What is steve lappas?

Steve Lappas is a former college basketball coach who most recently served as an analyst for CBS Sports. He was born on July 6, 1954 in New York, New York. Lappas played college basketball at the City College of New York and began his coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater.

Lappas went on to become the head coach at both Manhattan College and Villanova University, where he had a successful tenure from 1992 to 2001. During his time at Villanova, Lappas led the Wildcats to five NCAA Tournament appearances and compiled a record of 174-110.

After leaving Villanova, Lappas went on to coach at the University of Massachusetts from 2001 to 2005, where he led the Minutemen to a 50-65 record. He then transitioned to a career in broadcasting, working as an analyst for CBS Sports covering college basketball games.
